Professionals’ Training

Accurately recognize, empathetically meet and compassionately work with the body-imprint of early trauma.

Thank you, Angie!! The feedback from our team was extremely positive and they found the training very helpful. The workshop was educational AND worked well for a team bonding experience. We learned, laughed and walked away with increased insight and extra care for our bodies and minds. I highly recommend investing in this training for yourself or for your team if you have one. Angie is a compassionate teacher who loves what she does and cares for the people around her. Highly recommend!!

Help your patients and clients (and yourself!) get to the root.

The adult body is a reflection of the infant/child body. The ways in which our bodies push, reach, pull and release are deeply connected to early needs and attachments. This is because the body senses, feels and moves before the brain can think and process.

If there was an interruption in attachment…if needs went unmet…or if there was trauma, the body knows. And as a person grows, the body learns to compensate and send inaccurate messaging to the brain.

And what about you? Maybe there has been compensation in your body. Maybe you feel disconnected from your body or your body feels numb because your work demands so much of your brain power. Maybe helping your patients and clients access implicit, body-held memory feels impossible because your own body-memories loom too large.

HERE’S THE GOOD NEWS.
1. The body-brain connection is malleable.
2. Early movements stuck in the nervous system can be repatterned.
3. You can more efficiently and effectively treat when you accurately recognize, empathetically meet and compassionately work with the body imprint of early trauma.
4. Healing can happen for providers, too.

“This workshop was very eye-opening and provided insight into a world of somatic work that is rooted in foundation, science, and movement. The skills learned have assisted me in supporting clients when words are not easily found or where using movement and reflexes serves an important purpose. I would definitely consider taking this workshop again and I am excited to dive in deeper.

Thank you, Angie! The interactive presentation and workshop you did for my psychology students was exactly what I was looking for! A number of students told me after class how much they enjoyed, appreciated, and benefitted from the material you presented, your demonstrations, and interactive activities. The most common comment I heard was “This was so fun! I feel relaxed and it didn’t even feel like an actual class!” So, thank you for sharing your heart and passion with my students! I highly recommend Angie’s training!
